I am not naive to the fact that WooCommerce is not the only solution for selling products online. One of the largest in the world, Amazon, is a big powerhouse. Instead of looking at Amazon as the impossible competition, why don’t you just view them as yet another partner who will help you on your way to success?
Use Amazon and WooCommerce
We have a lot of WooCommerce experts on our team, but as I started thinking about how our customers at Hostdedi could use both Amazon and WooCommerce I immediately thought of my friend Patrick Rauland. He is someone who I have heard about for a few years and definitely has made his place as a prominent expert in WooCommerce, but I didn’t get to meet him in person until just a few months ago in Boise, Idaho. We were both there for a ConvertKit Conference and I knew immediately that the rumors were true, he is brilliant.
I sent him an email and told him I was thinking about how customers could use these two giant eCommerce solutions together and turns out, he knew exactly how and why they should be used together.
He told me that he had just attended a panel of eCommerce store owners and “just about every one of them said that Amazon is the single biggest sales channel; bigger than their own sites and other marketplaces. So you need to look into Amazon.”

Control inventory from one place
Keeping track of inventory can be a tedious process, but what happens when you are trying to use two different platforms to sell your products? Patrick immediately put my worries to ease. The order gets sent to Amazon and they pack and ship the order. Someone makes a sale on Amazon? They pack and ship the order. WooCommerce and Amazon are perfect partners
Since Patrick is an expert in WooCommerce and is also a knowledgeable developer I felt like I could ask him a very pointed question: Do these two platforms play nicely together? He said, “I’ve looked at numerous integrations with WooCommerce and Amazon and since Amazon doesn’t have the best developer tools it’s taken a while to see anything usable. This is the first really easy to use option. From a user perspective, you click that you want to use Amazon FBA and then make sure you have the same SKU set in WooCommerce as you do in Amazon FBA. Enter some API keys and that’s about it.” There is also very easy to follow documentation on the plugin. I looked through it myself and the setup instructions for the integration seem really easy to perform.

Ultimately, when you think about selling on Amazon you may think that market is too crowded. It’s true that there are more sellers than ever before – but there are also more buyers than ever before. Patrick’s advice, “If you want to put your product in front of the largest marketplace you have to put them on Amazon.”
